HOWARD'S HOUSE OF FINE ART t-shirt Review & GIVEAWAY!!

This was a fun review. This shirt really caught my eye at another giveaway. I had my fingers crossed but I didn't win. I got super lucky though when I was contacted by Howard Steenwyk to review and share his awesome House of Fine Art with you all. Howard is a fun guy and has been great to work with.

I picked the "Uncle Sam" design. It came in a bubble mailer covered with his art. It's so cool I don't want to throw it out :) The T- shirt is fabulous - vibrant colors printed on a high quality American Apparel tee. I love the way it fits and the way the color pops.

Then there is the images on the shirts. All of his designs are unique, metaphorical, political type images. I really like them because each design will hold a different meaning for each person, kind of like lyrics. This is where the fun comes in...

YOGA BUDDIES DVD Review & GIVEAWAY

When I received the YogaBuddies Bed Time Stories DVD, took time to explain to Juju the benefits yoga would offer him, both to his health and mentality. I wanted to possibly spark his interest so that he would want to learn and practice.  

A funny story about Ju and yoga - we were painting in the house and things were a bit hectic around here. My jujubean was allowed to help where he could and was then shooed out of the room so Mom & Dad could finish up. He kept coming in wanting to help and I'd suggest something he could do while I was busy. I could tell it was a frustrating day for him. At some point I took a break and came into to find him, he was sitting on top of a five gallon paint bucket sitting Indian style, his eyes closed, chanting Om. After he finished I asked him where he learned that. He told me Grandma. I asked him how it made him feel - he said happy. I asked my Mom if she had taught him Om. She said she hadn't even thought of Om for years! We don't know where he picked it up but I encouraged him to practice it if made him feel happy.

YogaBuddies has really engaged him and has become a part of his days. He calls himself a yoga master and has invited his cousins over to teach them. They all enjoy doing YogaBuddies and we really enjoy watching them :)

I am grateful that YogaBuddies has sparked his interest that I will encourage and cultivate as long as he has that interest. Yoga is a wonderful tool to have and for a child who has had problems with self control I want to gave him as many tools as I can to help him learn that control and ways to calm his mind.

I am thrilled with YogaBuddies Bed Time Stories and suggest it to all of you as a way to spark interest of yoga in your child.

"The Velveteen Principles" book set Review & GIVEAWAY!!

A few months back, I had my niece over for the night. Tell me a story she says when all curled up in bed. By this she means a  good old fashioned, off the top of my head stories - no books will do.
