Flip Flop season will soon sadly be a memory for me until next season. Into Fall which is my favorite season - then, into the dreaded Winter. Time to rock the boots and tennies.

It never gets cold inside however and flip flops are essential for inside wear as much as they are for outside. I always have a pair lying around to slip on.

My favorite flip flops are Havaianas. They fit perfectly and are built to last and their selection is way more fun than the standard flip flop.

My favorite from this season are the FIT style :) Cute huh?

Now let me tell you my experience with InLiven - first I was expecting a cream colored drink because that's normally how you find probiotics. This is a nice earthy green color that makes you feel healthy just looking at it. The flavor is fresh and earthy as well. I like the flavor and just add it to water.

While I was out there, I found these ...


11 four-leaf clovers!! Can you say lucky day?? I think I should play the lottery :)

Even Juju found one, which to him was like hitting the lottery! He also got his first bee sting today :( I think people for miles heard him screaming. But once the stinger was out and the baking soda paste was on, I explained that the bee wasn't trying to hurt him. It was only defending it's self against a big giant foot. All is well now - and no hard feeling towards bees :)

You know when Betty does it, that it will be top quality and available everywhere. Betty Crocker is a standard in America. You have no idea how excited I was to hear that Betty Crocker was coming out with a gluten free line!!

Not only does it mean quality, tasty, convenient mixes, but it means that gluten free living is being recognized in a huge way! I mean if Betty Crocker offers gluten free mixes it means that we've arrived!

My Mom started on a gluten free journey over 10 years ago when my brother Kirby was diagnosed with Celiac. Ten years ago the gluten free foods offered were not much better than eating straw & cardboard. My Mom pioneered tasteful gluten free foods for her family and has perfected so many GF foods. Now GF foods are good foods and do not sacrifice taste for health.

We live gluten free to support our son Julien. Juju was a very unhappy little boy before the diet. He was constantly being talked to or made to sit, he cried all the time, threw fits and to shop with him was a nightmare. It was exhausting for me and miserable for him. I learned a lot about old beliefs I had about children. I used to judge a kid having a fit in a store - thinking that parent should control their kid or that kid needs spanked. I thought of bad behavior as a discipline problem. I now realize that it's not my place to judge what I don't know.

Julien is still a kid, but the diet has taken away the extremes. We have a happy kid!! I'm so thankful for that. I would recommend the diet to anyone.

As for the mixes, they are yummy the brownies are almost better than a regular brownie mix and the chocolate chip cookies are too! I have only tried the white cake mix and we had some of the best cupcakes I've ever made! My brother tried one and said "they would have been cheaper if you would have made them yourself" - that rocked!! He thought they were store bought!! He couldn't believe it when I told him they were gluten free!It didn't stop him from stuffing his face with another.

This review is close to my heart - it was so nice I want to thank General Mills for the opportunity to try the Betty Crocker gluten free line. If I could make any suggestion, it would be that they add a general purpose baking mix and a plain cookie mix that you ccould choose to make peanut butter, snickerdoodle etc.

Denise from Simple Green (she is the best BTW) explained how the Fresh Bond Technology works to eliminate odors and prevent re-visiting. Although the two products function in the same way, there are different additives for the different odor sources - dog mess odors don't tend to be as pungent as cat odors, but can be more difficult to mask to the dog's nose. That makes so much sense to me - if the dog can still smell where it's been before, it will return.

Both formulas smell completely different (both smell very nice). The main thing to keep in mind is that if you have a pet that is re-marking a certain area, that you use the formula designed for that pet, as each is designed for the specific pet odor.

Our little fox terrier, Santos does have accidents on occasion. I had been using a product for that that seemed to work well. It contained enzymes to eliminate pet odors, but it was not dog/cat specific. I feel so much better about using Simple Green and I can say that it works much better.

The scent is a bit perfume-y going on but dries with a nice fresh smell.

I have been recommending the Simple Green pet line to all my friends & family with pets. Currently, you can find both CAT and DOG at PetSmart stores nationwide, and DOG at Petco stores nationwide... Petco won't carry the CAT product until after the first of the year.

Putty Buddies® Floating Ear Plugs Review & GIVEAWAY!!!

We just got home from a light vacation at the lakes. I wish I'd have know about Putty Buddies & Ear Band It before we left! It would have helped all the little ears to stay dry.

Since the Putty Buddies and Ear Band It arrived while we were gone, I had to plan a day at the local swimming spot so we could try them. The kids loved Putty Buddies before ever trying them just for getting us to the beach! So everyone picked out their color and we were off to the beach.

Putty buddies were easy to position in the ears and they created a seal over the ear that I haven't seen in other earplugs. It was hard to get the youngest, Allie, to keep them in her ears, but once the other kids made a big deal of them she figured they weren't so bad.

The Ear Band Its are made to wear with the Putty Buddies, keeping them secure in the ears. These are colorful, comfortable neoprene headbands that keep ears warm & dry, prevent swimmers ear, and recommended by physicians for swimmers with ear tubes or ear drum perforations.

They kept my kids comfortable and allowed them to enjoy swimming without worrying about their ears. It was nice - you could see they felt a little more free in the water.

Also, we attended a birthday party where there was a pinata. The parents forgot to bring a blindfold. We keep the Ear Band Its in the car for just in case. Let me tell you they make awesome blindfolds!! Everyone searched and searched for something we could use. Ear Band Its saved the party!!!!
