We are really having fun with the Doodle Roll. We received two to try. One 4" & one 6". We discovered that they are a real hit on the road.

We have plenty of paper & supplies inside and the kids regularly take advantage of that. But, often times, in the car or when we are out, they are stuck with hand-held electronic stuff to occupy them. If you're like me, you hate to see your kids plugged in all the time.

We popped one of the Doodle Rolls in the car. Recently we took an hour drive out of town for my doctor's visit. The Doodle Roll was perfect! It kept both kids fully entertained. We even made a game of it and I would call out a random letter and juju would draw me a picture of something that started with that letter.

They even brought the Doodle Roll inside the doctor's office and laid on the floor and entertained themselves while we waited. A couple people asked what they were.

All we needed to bring besides the Doodle Roll, was a book for hard surface.

The kit includes a roll of paper, crayons, and a snap close case. When you close the case, you can use the flat edge to tear your finished drawing off with a smooth edge. Aslo, the case keeps everything nice and tidy for the next trip.

These make a lot of sense. Perfect for car rides or flights, taking to someone's home who might not have children and  crayons around, makes great stocking or Easter basket stuffers. And I'm thinking the Doodle Roll for party favors!

I am very excited to share with you all the Rubbermaid 2-in-1 Recycler. This unassuming piece has turned our messy, disorganized recycling process into an efficient one.

Used to be, as we used a can or jar, it would sit on the counter top until I cleaned up the kitchen that evening and all recyclables went into designated reusable shopping bag which hung from a hook - a hook which was meant to hold something nice, not an eyesore like a green bag filled with cans and jars.

I love that I don't have to use trash bags in this system - keeps the waste down. I simply use the dish sprayer and hot water to rinse the bins out after each dump. Like I said, there are no seams to get gunked up so cleaning is simple.

We've been recycling for at least ten years, and have tried different systems for keeping it running smoothly. The Rubbermaid 2-in-1 Recycler has made the most sense for our family. It seems so simple, but has made the process flow a lot smoother around here, and that is a good thing.

This year, we have set a challenge: to raise $50,000!
